Good link for anyone interested in the current status of Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull (glacier volcano) there has not been much news since air travel resumed normal service. Ban welcomes outcome of month-long nuclear treaty review conference

Conference on Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty called a success after US, China, UK, France, and Russia the original 5 members resolve to work together to make the world a more secure place. Focus will be on the three pillars of diarmament, non-proliferation, and peaceful use of nuclear energy. Also scheduled a 2012 conference to create a nuclear free Middle East.

Krieger provides a brief history of the achievements of the NPT Review Conferences which have been held every five years, since 1995 when the parties made the provisions of the Treaty permanent. IAEA Report on Iran

The IAEA released a report on Iran's nuclear fuel capability and concluded Iran may have enough material to produce two weapons. The IAEA Report also cites ramped up activity at one of its nuclear facilities and access denied at some locations to UN Inspectors.
