40th Anniversary of Earth Day (2010) in Prague

April 22, 2010 marked the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. In Prague, Mayor Pavel Bém marked the occasion by planting a tree in Stromovka’s Royal Park.
A representative of the U.S.A. also planted a White Oak (Illinois' state tree) on behalf of the U.S. and Chicago (Prague's sister city). For more information see http://prague.usembassy.gov/earthday2010.html
