Honesty

An interesting thought came to mind while abroad. Americans are dishonest. The public transportation in Vienna brought me to this conclusion. All you have to do is buy a ticket and ride. There are no gates. No guards. No monitoring at all. All you have to do is get on and ride. That would never work here in the states. Trust..what a novel idea.

  1. We did not see the Vienna or Prague transit police nabbing someone who did not have a ticket. The fine for getting caught is pretty steep -- last I heard it was 80 Euro in Vienna. In Prague, the desk clerk at the hostel told me the police are pretty good at "profiling" the cheaters -- they are probably good at picking out those dishonest Americans!
